Carbon Impact Capital is a Singapore-based social business venture focused on developing carbon reduction and removal projects that improve the lives of the most vulnerable communities in an immediate and direct way.
We partner with several non-profits and social enterprises and enable delivery for social impact in the rural global south. Our projects are designed for capital efficiency, high impact and returns, and follow rigorous processes and independent verifications required by reputed international carbon registries to earn high-quality carbon credits.
Focus on the global south
Populations in Africa, Latin America, South Asia and Southeast Asia in the global south are most vulnerable to climate change, affecting over 3.3 billion people.
Globally, 2.2 billion people do not have access to safe drinking water; 2.8 billion do not have access to clean cooking solutions; 789 million do not have access to electricity. This leads to several health, socio-economic and environmental issues, with women and children bearing most of the burden.
By focusing on the global south, we are able to improve the lives of vulnerable communities through climate action projects. Together with our partners, CIC is making a difference in developing countries in Asia and Africa.

Focus on women and children
The lack of clean cooking and clean water leads to several socio-economic and health challenges, especially for women and children. Our projects aim to reduce the burden of collecting water and fire wood, which frees up time to pursue better income and education. We also choose to work with women to in the communities, empowering them through training and job opportunities.
Climate action
Net zero transition requires trillions of dollars of capital. We endeavour to channel a portion of this capital to projects at the base of the pyramid in such that it significantly improves the lives of the people who are most vulnerable to climate change. Our projects all involve some form climate mitigation, adaptation or restoration with postive long term impact for people and the planet.
Capital efficiency
We use blended finance, including carbon finance, to multiply the impact and capital efficiency of our projects. Our sustainable business model utilizes carbon markets to finance our projects at little to no cost for the beneficiaries, while still meeting financial goals of our investors.

We endeavour to support all of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through our unique “Carbon Impact” projects. We use carbon markets as our core funding mechanism to unlock capital for high social impact projects.
The SDGs were identified by the United Nations General Assembly as a collection of 17 interlinked global goals designed to be a blueprint for achieving a better and more sustainable future for all.
Each of our core interventions directly contributes to several of these goals. We also design additional interventions and programs in the communities, alongside our core interventions, to create a more holistic impact at scale.
